- I teach botany classes as part of the Blue Ridge Naturalist(opens in new tab) and Blue Ridge Eco-Gardener(opens in new tab) certificate programs at The North Carolina Arboretum(opens in new tab). This year, I'm offering a series of in-depth botany classes, one each month, plus Beginning Botany again in November.

- Snowbird Mountain Lodge near Robbinsville, NC is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy all the beauty and adventure that WNC has to offer. Join me there October 19-23 for hikes to see the gorgeous fall foliage. In 2027 I'll be leading hikes April 26-30 to see spring wildflowers, June 6-11 to see the synchronous and blue ghost fireflies, and September 20-24 to see the fall foliage. Quite the treat!
- Join me (and over a hundred other leaders ) for the 77th annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage(opens in new tab) in Great Smoky Mountains National Park(opens in new tab) April 7-10, 2027. Registration for the multitude of hikes, classes, and other programs will open in early 2027.
