  • I lead a variety of hikes at The North Carolina Arboretum.  See the list of all the Arboretum's classes and hikes here.
  • I teach botany classes as part of the Blue Ridge Naturalist and Blue Ridge Eco-Gardener certificate programs at The North Carolina Arboretum.  Beginning Botany will be offered again in July.  After that, a series of more in-depth botany classes will follow, with a different one each month.
  • For the past several years I have lead nature hikes at Snowbird Mountain Lodge near Robbinsville, NC.  This year I also lead hikes to see the synchronous and blue ghost fireflies. Quite the treat!  Snowbird is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy all the beauty and adventure that WNC has to offer.  Stay tuned for next year's dates!
  • Join me (and over a hundred other leaders ) for the 77th annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage in Great Smoky Mountains National Park April 7-10, 2027.  Registration for the multitude of hikes, classes, and other programs will open in early 2027.
  • Each month, look for my photos in Sight Psalms, a daily devotional pairing a photo with a short message.  (Offered as a ministry of The Upper Room through Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church.)
